New Delhi Information
New Delhi , the capital city of
India is a mixture of old and new. The New Delhi is composed of
modern buildings and the imperial buildings erected by British during
their rule in India . Rashtrapati Bhawan
(President Palace), Parliament house
and Lutyens Area are some of the most
majestic areas developed by British in New Delhi . The Old Delhi
is located north east of New Delhi . The Red
Fort, Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid are some of the remains
of Mughal era. The other remains are found at Mehrauli and Tuglaqabad
where you can find broken forts and the famous Qutub Minar.
Delhi is a happening place and
draws big crowds for the events like Republic Day, Host of Exhibitions
like AutoExpo, Trade fair held at Pragati
Maidan. There is intense political activity in Delhi when
parliament is in session. The native population mostly is a mix
of Punjabi, Hindus and Muslims. However, a huge section of people
from other states are settling in Delhi. The life style is a mix
and match of the new and the old, as also reflected between Old
and New Delhi . The NCT region of Delhi has Super malls, clubs and
multiplexes that are comparable to European entertainment centres.
The city is now being connected with Metro Rail System for easy
connectivity through the expanding city. The city is also hosting
Commonwealth Games in 2010.
Though the city is quite shabby
and climate that is uncomfortable during most part of the year,yet
you will find it greatly diverse and amusing.
