Pushkar Information
There are many interesting places to visit in Pushkar like Savitri Temple, Man Mahal, Pushkar Lake and The Brahma Temple. The Brahma Temple and Pushkar Lake are the two important places that are a must visit on your Pushkar tour. Besides there are many temples that one can explore on a tour to Pushkar. The Brahma Temple houses a four-headed idol of lord Brahma. You can simply sit on the bank of the Pushkar Lake and enjoy the beautiful vistas. Don't forget to take stroll down the Pushkar Lake in the evening. As the sun sets, the lake changes color and offers a wonderful sight. During the Aarti, diyas (earthen lamps) float in the lake and present a picturesque sight.
What to See? Savitri Temple
A temple dedicated to the first wife of Lord Brahma the Savitri temple is located on the hill behind the Brahma Temple which can be reached by a flight of steps. The temple offers a panoramic view of the lake and the surrounding desertscape.
Man Mahal
On the banks if pushkar is the magnificent palace built by Raja Man Singh 1 of Amer now converted into the RTDC Hotel sarovar it offers a comfortable accommodation to the visitors.
The Brahma Temple
It is the only temple in India dedicated to Lord braham. The temple is marked by a red spire and over the entrance gateway us a beautiful statue carrier of Lord Brahma.
