Spring (March to May), is
probably the most celebrated Japanese season. Autumn (September
to November) is a great time to travel: the temperatures
are pleasant. Mid-winter (December to February) can be
bitterly cold, while the sticky summer months (June to
August). New Year, Golden Week (late April to early May)
and the midsummer O-Bon festival can be a real headache. |

Hakone is part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, less than 100 kilometers from Tokyo. Famous for hot springs, outdoor activities, natural beauty and the view of nearby Mt. Fuji, Hakone is one of the most popular destinations among Japanese and international tourists. Mount Fuji is with 3776 meters Japan's highest mountain. It is not surprising that this almost perfectly shaped volcano has been worshipped as a sacred mountain. The view of the mountain is extremeley great from Bullet Train. However, you have to be lucky in that case as clouds and poor visibility often disturb the view.
