to see the desert and most of the south; summer is the

Casablanca
Casablanca (population 3,5 million, pronounced Dar-al-Baida in Arabic) is a city in western Morocco. A port on the Atlantic Ocean, Casablanca is Morocco's biggest city and chief port, and is thus considered an economic capital. The town of Casablanca was founded in 1515 by the Portuguese, who had destroyed the town of Anfa located at the same site just years earlier. Casablanca has focused on a tourism industry as it is a major source of Income for the city locals. Hassan II Mosque is the world famous monument in Casablanca. The city has many more historical sites to thrill the visitors. |

Rabat
Rabat, population 787,745 (1994), is the capital of the Kingdom of Morocco. The city is located on the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the Bou Regreg estuary. Unfortunately, silting problems have diminished the city's role as a port, but it maintains an important textile industry.
There have been settlements on the site since ancient times. It became a Muslim fortress circa 700. Prior to Moroccan independence in 1956, Rabat was capital of the French protectorate of Morocco. There are several historical building in Rabat including Mausoleum of Hassan II and Royal Guard. |

Marrakech
Marrakech (marrākish), known as the "Pearl of the South," is a city in southwestern Morocco in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Marrakech is a Berber word; it means the country of god (murt 'n akush).Marrakech has the largest berber market (souk) in Morocco and also hosts the busiest square in the entirety of Africa, called Djemaa el Fna. Like many North African cities, Marrakech has two main divisions: the médina and the modern city. Marrakech is served by Ménara International Airport. The Medina area has marked attractions of Casbah and Mellah ,while modern city is divided into Guéliz, Hivernage, Semlalia and Daudiate. The Places of attraction are El Badi Palace, Royal Palace (Dar el Makhzen) and méchouars, Bahia Palace, Dar Si Saïd Museum, Maison Tiskiwin, Dar el Glaoui and Villa Majorelle at the Majorelle Garden.
